Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Energy Business Development Representative to join our team at Graybar. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the energy market segment with a focus on solar projects, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and a strong understanding of energy technologies. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to drive growth and revenue.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the energy market segment
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers to understand their needs and provide customized solutions
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales initiatives
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
  • Prepare and present project quotations and customer bids to secure new business

Requirements:

  • Three years of relevant sales or industry experience
  • Experience in design or engineering of solar projects
  • Passion for sales and drive to seek out new business
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Broad knowledge of industry products and services
  • Ability to present effectively to customers and staff
