About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Forwarding Sales Business Developer to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a critical role in expanding our business by developing a strong Book of Business within the branch's geographical area.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow your Book of Business, ensuring constant growth in Volume, Revenue, and Margin
- Liaise with Branch Operations to ensure proper Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are customized around client needs
- Assist clients in their day-to-day requests related to export/import quotations/negotiations to ensure proper opportunity closing
- Liaise with DP World's internal Network and external partners to guarantee the best possible service assistance
- Daily work on our CRM system to properly manage your personal pipeline and record activity that will be used for Field Sales Incentive Scheme
Your Qualifications:
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a similar discipline
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Freight Forwarding Industry
- Ability to research, identify, tackle, grow, and close business opportunities, ensuring the needed support from product and operations
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, vendors
- Excellent command of English and Spanish (written and spoken), with additional languages being an advantage
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be around €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a market-competitive compensation package.
