EMEA Electrophysiology Customer Education Specialist (m/f/d)
Objective
At Boston Scientific, we are devoted to developing and leading exceptional educational initiatives for both our workforce and healthcare professionals.
The Electrophysiology (EP) segment is a vital component of our Rhythm Management division, where effective training and education for our employees and healthcare providers are essential for promoting technology adoption and ensuring patient safety.
The primary focus of this position is to strategize, design, and implement training programs centered around 3D Mapping and FARAVIEW technologies for our field personnel and clientele. This includes gathering necessary information to create in-house training programs, developing educational materials, crafting course content, determining instructional methodologies, and coordinating the creation of training resources. You will also conduct training sessions and establish criteria to assess the effectiveness of these educational activities. Continuous updates to lesson plans will be necessary to adapt to evolving training needs and to keep technical information current.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee internal and customer education initiatives by executing strategies, achieving objectives, and managing logistics while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
- Identify the most effective delivery methods for each learner and curriculum, creating blended learning programs that fulfill educational goals. Design programs that integrate remote, face-to-face, and e-learning approaches.
- Work collaboratively on enhancing our digital platforms and Learning Management System, defining requirements and leveraging these platforms across various curricula.
- Design, develop, and monitor e-learning programs that complement blended curricula, ensuring the application of best practices and insights across the Medical Education Team.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers, both internal and external, acting as a liaison between educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific initiatives.
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders and foster robust networking within the organization.
- Identify, collaborate with, and manage suitable resources (e.g., vendor partnerships, internal departments) to ensure that meetings and events meet their objectives.
- Define, monitor, and manage budgets while implementing cost-saving strategies, understanding their implications for overall business management.
- Develop program metrics aligned with the educational objectives set for each program and curriculum.
- Assess program impact, reevaluate objectives and outcomes, and strategize for ongoing improvement.
- Stay informed about industry standards and trends relevant to this role, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Create a professional development plan in collaboration with your direct supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to applicable standard operating procedures to meet and uphold all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
- Utilize tools and programs across the organization effectively.
- Maintain consistency with Boston Scientific branding guidelines.
Profile Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Education, Customer Programs, or Field Support.
- Experience and expertise in EP, 3D mapping, PFA, and Single Shot field support (minimum 3 years).
- A background in Training and Medical Education is highly valued (2 years).
- Experience in developing e-learning programs and digital content is highly regarded.
- A university degree or equivalent is required, with substantial expertise in Rhythm Management and EP (disease, product, clinical).
- A collaborative team player with a focus on fostering cooperation across the organization.
- Ability to generate and advocate for innovative ideas and approaches.
- Strong customer orientation, catering to both internal and external clients.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
- Exemplary integrity, adaptability, and agility.
- Capacity to perform under pressure while managing multiple priorities and maintaining focus.
- Strong presentation, didactic, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in an additional European language is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
