Customer Education Specialist for Electrophysiology in EMEA (m/f/d)
Role Overview
At Boston Scientific, we prioritize the development and leadership of high-quality educational initiatives tailored for both our workforce and healthcare professionals.
The Electrophysiology (EP) segment is a rapidly expanding area within our Rhythm Management division, where effective training and education for both our team and healthcare providers are essential for fostering technology adoption and ensuring patient safety.
The primary focus of this position is to strategize, design, and execute training programs centered around 3D Mapping and FARAVIEW technologies for our field personnel and clientele. This includes gathering necessary information to craft in-house training sessions, creating educational materials, developing course content, selecting appropriate teaching methodologies, and coordinating the creation of training resources. The role also involves conducting training sessions and establishing evaluation criteria to assess the effectiveness of educational activities. Continuous updates to lesson plans will be necessary to adapt to evolving training needs and to keep technical content current.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee internal and customer education initiatives by implementing strategies, achieving objectives, and managing logistics while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
- Identify optimal delivery methods for diverse learners and curricula, creating blended learning programs that fulfill educational goals, including a mix of remote, face-to-face, and e-learning formats.
- Collaborate on enhancing our digital platforms and Learning Management System, identifying requirements and integrating them into various curricula.
- Design, develop, and monitor e-learning programs that complement blended learning approaches, ensuring adherence to best practices and shared insights across the Medical Education Team.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with key customers, both internal and external, acting as a liaison between influential educational leaders and Boston Scientific initiatives.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders and cultivate strong networks within the organization.
- Identify, collaborate with, and manage suitable resources (e.g., vendor partnerships, other internal departments) to ensure that events and meetings achieve their objectives.
- Define, monitor, and manage budgets while implementing cost-saving strategies, understanding their implications for overall business management.
- Establish program metrics aligned with the educational objectives set for each program and curriculum.
- Assess program effectiveness, revisit objectives and outcomes, and strategize for ongoing enhancements.
- Stay informed about industry standards and trends relevant to the role, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Develop a professional growth plan in collaboration with your direct supervisor.
- Ensure awareness and adherence to applicable standard operating procedures to meet all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
- Utilize tools and programs across the organization effectively.
- Maintain consistency with Boston Scientific branding guidelines.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Education, Customer Programs, or Field Support.
- Expertise in EP, 3D Mapping, PFA, and Single Shot field support is essential (minimum 3 years).
- A background in Training and Medical Education is highly valued (2 years).
- Experience in developing e-learning programs and digital content is a significant advantage.
- A university degree or equivalent is required, with substantial knowledge in Rhythm Management and EP (disease, product, clinical).
- A collaborative team player with a strong focus on cooperation across the organization.
- Ability to generate and advocate for innovative ideas and approaches.
- Strong customer orientation, addressing the needs of both internal and external clients.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
