Objective
Boston Scientific is devoted to developing and leading exceptional educational initiatives for both our workforce and healthcare professionals.
The Electrophysiology (EP) segment is a rapidly expanding area within our Rhythm Management division, where effective training and education for employees and healthcare providers are crucial for fostering technology adoption and ensuring patient safety.
The primary aim of this position is to strategize, design, implement, and oversee in-house training programs focused on 3D Mapping and FARAVIEW technologies for field personnel and clients. This includes gathering necessary information for training preparation, creating educational materials, developing course content, determining instructional methods, and coordinating the creation of training resources. The role involves conducting training sessions and establishing criteria to assess the effectiveness of these educational activities. It may also require collaboration with trainers possessing technical expertise. Continuous updates to lesson plans will be necessary to adapt to new training needs and to keep technical information current.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee internal and client education initiatives by implementing strategies, achieving objectives, and managing logistics while effectively collaborating with stakeholders. Identify optimal delivery methods for each learner and curriculum, creating blended learning programs that fulfill educational goals. Collaborate on enhancing our digital platforms and Learning Management System, defining requirements and leveraging these tools across various curricula. Design, develop, and monitor e-learning programs to complement blended curricula, ensuring adherence to best practices and insights across the Medical Education Team. Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key customers, both internal and external, acting as a liaison between educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific initiatives. Proactively communicate with stakeholders and establish strong networks within the organization. Identify, collaborate with, and manage relevant resources (e.g., vendor partnerships, internal departments) to ensure that meetings and events meet their objectives. Define, monitor, and manage budgets while implementing cost-saving strategies, understanding the implications for overall business management. Develop program metrics aligned with the learning objectives established for each program and curriculum. Assess program impact, reevaluate objectives and outcomes, and plan for ongoing improvements. Stay informed about industry standards and trends relevant to this role and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Create a professional development plan in collaboration with your direct supervisor. Ensure awareness and adherence to applicable standard operating procedures to meet and uphold all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific. Leverage tools and programs across the organization to enhance effectiveness. Maintain consistency with Boston Scientific branding guidelines.Profile Requirements
A minimum of 5 years' experience in Medical Education, Customer Programs, or Field Support. Expertise in EP, 3D Mapping, PFA, and Single Shot field support is essential for this role (minimum 3 years). A background in Training and Medical Education is highly valued (2 years). Experience in developing e-learning programs and digital content is advantageous. A university degree or equivalent is required, with substantial expertise in Rhythm Management and EP (disease, product, clinical). A collaborative mindset and a team-oriented approach are essential. Ability to generate and advocate for innovative ideas and methodologies. Strong customer orientation, addressing both internal and external clients. Excellent organizational and planning capabilities. Problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. High integrity, adaptability, and agility are crucial. Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple priorities. Strong didactic, presentation, and communication skills. Proficiency in English; knowledge of an additional European language is a plus. Willingness to travel approximately 30%.Our Offer
