EMEA Electrophysiology Customer Education Coordinator (m/f/d)
Role Overview
At Boston Scientific, we prioritize the development and leadership of high-quality educational initiatives for both our team members and healthcare professionals.
The Electrophysiology (EP) segment is a vital part of our Rhythm Management division, where effective training and education are essential for technology adoption and patient safety.
The primary focus of this position is to plan, design, and implement training programs for 3D Mapping and FARAVIEW technology aimed at field support personnel and clients. This includes gathering necessary information for program preparation, creating training materials, developing course content, determining instructional methods, and coordinating the creation of training resources. The role also involves conducting training sessions and establishing evaluation criteria for training effectiveness. Continuous updates to lesson plans are required to align with evolving training needs and to ensure technical information remains current.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee internal and customer education initiatives by implementing strategies, achieving objectives, and managing logistics while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
- Identify the most effective delivery methods for each learner and curriculum, developing blended learning programs that fulfill educational goals. Design blended programs that integrate remote, face-to-face, and e-learning components.
- Work collaboratively on enhancing our digital platforms and Learning Management System, defining requirements and utilizing these tools across various curricula.
- Create, develop, and monitor e-learning programs that complement blended curricula, ensuring adherence to best practices and insights from the Medical Education Team.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key customers, both internal and external, acting as a liaison between educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific initiatives.
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders and build a robust network within the organization.
- Identify, collaborate with, and manage suitable resources (e.g., vendor relationships, internal departments) to ensure that events and meetings achieve their objectives.
- Define, monitor, and manage budgets while implementing cost-saving strategies, understanding their implications for overall business management.
- Develop program metrics aligned with the educational objectives set for each program and curriculum.
- Assess program impact, reevaluate objectives and outcomes, and plan for ongoing improvements.
- Stay informed about industry standards and trends relevant to the role, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Create a professional development plan in partnership with your direct supervisor.
- Ensure awareness and adherence to applicable standard operating procedures to meet and uphold all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
- Utilize tools and programs across the organization effectively.
- Maintain consistency with Boston Scientific branding guidelines.
Candidate Profile
- At least 5 years of experience in Medical Education, Customer Programs, or Field Support.
- Minimum of 3 years of expertise in EP, 3D mapping, PFA, and Single Shot field support is essential.
- A background in Training and Medical Education is highly valued (minimum 2 years).
- Experience in developing e-learning programs and digital content is advantageous.
- A university degree or equivalent is required, with solid knowledge in Rhythm Management and EP (disease, product, clinical).
- A collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach.
- Ability to generate and advocate for innovative ideas and methodologies.
- Strong customer focus, addressing the needs of both internal and external clients.
- Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
