Role Overview
At Boston Scientific, we prioritize the development and leadership of high-quality educational initiatives for both our workforce and healthcare professionals. The Electrophysiology (EP) sector is a vital component of our Rhythm Management division, where effective training and education are essential for promoting technology adoption and ensuring patient safety.
The primary aim of this position is to strategize, design, and implement in-house training programs focused on 3D Mapping and FARAVIEW technologies for both field personnel and clients. This includes gathering necessary information to create training programs, preparing educational materials, developing course content, determining instructional methods, and coordinating the creation of training resources. The role also involves conducting training sessions and establishing criteria to assess the effectiveness of these educational activities. Continuous updates to lesson plans will be necessary to align with evolving training needs and to keep technical content current.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee internal and client education initiatives by executing strategies, achieving objectives, and managing logistics while collaborating effectively with stakeholders. Identify optimal delivery methods for diverse learners and curricula, creating blended learning programs that fulfill educational goals. Collaborate on enhancing our digital platforms and Learning Management System, defining requirements and utilizing these platforms across various curricula. Design, develop, and monitor e-learning programs that complement blended learning paths, ensuring adherence to best practices and shared insights within the Medical Education Team. Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders, acting as a liaison between educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific initiatives. Proactively communicate with stakeholders and foster strong networking within the organization. Identify and manage appropriate resources, including vendor relationships and internal departments, to ensure that events and meetings achieve their objectives. Define, monitor, and manage budgets while implementing cost-saving strategies and understanding their implications for overall business management. Develop program metrics aligned with the learning objectives established for each program and curriculum. Assess program impact, reevaluate objectives and outcomes, and plan for ongoing improvements. Stay informed about industry standards and trends relevant to the role, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Create a professional development plan in collaboration with your direct supervisor. Ensure adherence to applicable standard operating procedures to meet and uphold all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific. Leverage organizational tools and programs effectively. Maintain consistency with Boston Scientific branding guidelines.Candidate Profile
A minimum of 5 years' experience in Medical Education, Customer Programs, or Field Support. Expertise in EP, 3D Mapping, PFA, and Single Shot field support is essential (minimum 3 years). A background in Training and Medical Education is highly valued (2 years). Experience in developing e-learning programs and digital content is advantageous. A university degree or equivalent is required, with substantial knowledge in Rhythm Management and EP (disease, product, clinical). A collaborative team player with a focus on fostering cooperation across the organization. Ability to generate and advocate for innovative ideas and approaches. Strong customer orientation, catering to both internal and external clients. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset. High integrity, adaptability, and agility. Capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Strong presentation and communication skills. Proficiency in English; knowledge of an additional European language is a plus. Willingness to travel approximately 30%.Our Offer
