EMEA Electrophysiology Customer Education Specialist (m/f/d)
Role Overview
At Boston Scientific, we prioritize the development and execution of high-caliber educational initiatives for both our workforce and healthcare professionals.
The Electrophysiology (EP) division is a rapidly expanding segment of our Rhythm Management department, where training and education for both our staff and healthcare providers are crucial for facilitating technology adoption while ensuring patient safety.
The primary focus of this position is to strategize, design, and implement training programs centered around 3D Mapping and FARAVIEW technologies for both field personnel and clients. This includes gathering necessary information to craft in-house training sessions, creating educational materials, developing course content, determining instructional methods, and coordinating the creation of training resources. The role also involves conducting training sessions and establishing evaluation criteria to assess the effectiveness of training efforts. Continuous updates to lesson plans will be necessary to align with evolving training needs and to ensure that technical information remains current.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee internal and customer education initiatives by executing strategies, achieving objectives, and managing logistics while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
- Identify optimal delivery methods for diverse learners and curricula, creating blended learning programs that fulfill educational goals. Design programs that incorporate a suitable mix of remote, face-to-face, and e-learning formats.
- Contribute to the enhancement of our digital platforms and Learning Management System by identifying requirements and leveraging these tools across various curricula.
- Design, develop, and monitor e-learning programs that complement blended learning initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and shared insights within the Medical Education Team.
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with key customers, both internal and external, acting as a liaison between influential educational leaders and Boston Scientific initiatives.
- Engage proactively with stakeholders and cultivate strong networks within the organization.
- Identify, collaborate with, and manage relevant resources (e.g., vendor partnerships, internal departments) to ensure that events and meetings achieve their intended goals.
- Establish, monitor, and manage budgets while implementing cost-saving strategies, understanding their implications for overall business management.
- Develop program metrics aligned with defined learning objectives for each initiative and curriculum.
- Assess program effectiveness, reevaluate objectives and outcomes, and strategize for ongoing improvement.
- Stay informed about industry standards and trends relevant to this role, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Create a professional development plan in collaboration with your direct supervisor.
- Ensure adherence to applicable standard operating procedures to meet and uphold all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
- Utilize organizational tools and programs effectively.
- Maintain consistency with Boston Scientific branding guidelines.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Education, Customer Programs, or Field Support.
- Expertise in EP, 3D Mapping, PFA, and Single Shot field support is essential (minimum 3 years).
- A background in Training and Medical Education is highly regarded (minimum 2 years).
- Experience in developing e-learning programs and digital content is advantageous.
- A university degree or equivalent is required, with solid knowledge in Rhythm Management and EP (disease, product, clinical).
- A collaborative team player with a strong focus on partnership across the organization.
- Ability to generate and advocate for innovative ideas and methodologies.
- Strong customer orientation, addressing the needs of both internal and external clients.
