About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our successful team at Insight Enterprises. As a key member of our Sales & Marketing team, you will be responsible for identifying prospective opportunities, developing client relationships, and implementing Insight's marketing plan to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Relationship Management: Support the Vendor Alliance Manager in managing strategic business relationships across vendor accounts, fostering collaboration with key stakeholders to align with vendor growth objectives.
  2. Business Plan Execution: Collaborate with the Vendor Alliance Manager to execute the business plan against defined milestones and metrics, driving the landing by engaging with the local Sales team to secure readiness, go-to-market offerings, and sales execution.
  3. Performance Assessment and Improvement: Support the monthly and quarterly performance assessment within Insight and with the vendor, leading necessary cause corrections and actions to drive business growth.
  4. Revenue and Profit Growth: Support achievement against revenue and profit-based targets, building and maintaining accurate weekly reporting of the pipeline, forecast, and activities to deliver against future revenue and GP targets.
  5. Sales Growth and Development: Support Sales to grow opportunities, maximizing revenue and margin potential through effective business development strategies.
  6. Product Development and Communication: Communicate new product developments to prospective clients, following up on business opportunities to drive sales growth.
  7. Growth Strategy Development: Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction, in conjunction with the Vendor Alliance Manager.
  8. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs, arrange business meetings with prospective clients, and promote products and/or services addressing or predicting client objectives.
  9. Client Relationship Management: Provide trustworthy feedback, after-sales support, and build long-term relationships with clients to drive repeat business and referrals.
  10. External Communication and Brand Promotion: Prepare programmes of external communication, customer engagement, and brand promotion that will contribute to the achievement of Insight's objectives.
Requirements
  1. Proven Business Development Experience: Proven working experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or a similar relevant role in technology (software and services).
  2. Vendor Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the vendors' product strategy and product offerings.
  3. Stakeholder Management and Engagement: Proven stakeholder management and engagement skills combined with good business acumen and experience.
  4. Team Player and Individual Contributor: Strong team player as well as a proactive individual contributor.
  5. Commercial Relationship Building: Experience in building commercial relationships to help deliver improved service and innovation to the customer.
  6. Client-Facing Presentation and Documentation: Ability to provide client-facing presentations and delivery of client documentation to a high standard.
