Position Overview

As a key member of the Software Asset Management Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring adherence to Software Vendor agreements and their licensing rights, while enhancing the organization's capacity to manage software-related risks and expenditures. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive software asset evaluations, interpreting software license entitlements, automating software usage data collection, and establishing effective license positions with Software Vendors. You will also oversee software asset governance, maximize software value delivery, and collaborate with various tools and stakeholders to share insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance awareness of Software Asset Management within the Product Manager and Product Line Lead communities.
  • Work alongside Product Managers and Product Line Leads to identify opportunities for software optimization.
  • Ensure governance within Roche by maintaining appropriate levels of awareness among users and owners of software assets.
  • The role will evolve over time, allowing you to specialize in either a technical or financial capacity.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive experience working with virtual teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, cost management, and timely delivery.
  • Proficient in advanced analytics, gap analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Project management skills, effective written communication, and the ability to simplify complex concepts are crucial.
  • A solid understanding of IT environments, including desktops, virtualization, servers, cloud services, and SaaS, is preferred.
  • The candidate should aim to: Enhance knowledge of software licensing and auditing practices, improve understanding of Software Asset Management tools and processes, and gain experience in contract and software asset management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with SQL Server scripting is advantageous.
