Position Overview

As a key member of the Software Asset Management Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to Software Vendor agreements and their licensing stipulations while enhancing the organization's capability to manage software-related risks and expenditures. Your responsibilities will evolve to include comprehensive software asset evaluations, interpreting software license agreements, automating software usage data collection, establishing effective license positions with Software Vendors, overseeing software assets, maximizing software value delivery, and collaborating with various tools and stakeholders.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, small team at Roche, where you will have the chance to learn continuously. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing data quality and knowledge sharing are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster and sustain awareness of Software Asset Management within the Product Management community.
  • Partner with Product Managers and Product Line Leaders to uncover opportunities for software optimization.
  • Ensure governance within Roche by maintaining appropriate levels of awareness among users and owners of software assets.
  • The role will evolve, allowing the candidate to transition into either a more technical or financial position over time.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive experience collaborating with virtual teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, cost management, and timely delivery.
  • Proficient in advanced analytics, gap analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Project management skills, effective written communication, and the ability to simplify complex concepts are essential for Software Asset Management.
  • A solid understanding of IT environments, including desktops, virtualization, servers, cloud computing, and SaaS, is required, though not at a technical level.
  • The candidate is expected to: Enhance knowledge of software licensing and auditing practices, deepen understanding of Software Asset Management tools and processes, and gain experience in contract and software asset management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with SQL Server scripting is advantageous.
