About the Role:

As a Senior Partnerships Development Manager at Owkin, you will be responsible for developing and leading partnerships with academic players to secure access to multimodal datasets. With existing partnerships contracted in Europe and the US with prestigious medical and research centers, you will be part of the Europe Partnership Development team. Your main objectives will be to develop and secure data access & sample access within your sub-region (Spain, Italy, Portugal) with the support of your supervisor and team mates. You will work closely with operations, scientific, legal, and IT teams to support Owkin's data access and samples access expansion strategy locally.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your network in oncology and other therapeutic areas to develop Owkin's network expansion and strengthen relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Identify and connect with academic researchers and institutes to explore potential data access and samples access opportunities and collaborations.
  • Lead day-to-day engagement with these academic partners to develop long-term collaborations.
  • Maintain academic partner account relationships and processes.
  • Lead the negotiation of business terms to secure partnerships in a timely manner, in collaboration with our legal teams.
  • Develop a sub-region strategy and propose it in coordination with the Southern Europe Director.
  • Act as the voice of our partners to identify opportunities to enhance existing products, and identify new potential product offerings.
  • Participate in developing Owkin's partnerships development strategy, in close collaboration with other Owkin teams.
  • Interact with the R&D team to develop skills in machine learning for biomedical data.
  • Represent Owkin at local and international conferences.
  • Build a local footprint, in collaboration with the marketing and communication team.

About You:

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a degree in life sciences (MD, PharmD, or Master/PhD in biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering, or similar) or a degree from a business school and experience in biomedical research, pharmaceutical companies, TTO, etc. You should have a good level of experience developing business relationships in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biomedical/healthtech/Medtech organizations or TTO. Additionally, you should have a good level of experience negotiating contracts with healthcare accounts like hospitals and/or research centers. An understanding of working with academic biomedical research institutions or experience in hospital/academic innovation or technology transfer offices is also required. The ability to work and interact with multiple stakeholders from different backgrounds both internally and externally is essential. Finally, you should be able to work in an international context.
