Building Relationships and Driving Sales Growth
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Trainee to join our team at Marriott International. As a Sales Trainee, you will play a critical role in building and strengthening relationships with existing and new customers to expand our customer base for group and catering sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated and complementary.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to expand our customer base.
- Establish clear expectations for customers and properties throughout the sales process.
- Conduct daily sales activities to achieve department goals, including responding to incoming group and catering opportunities and following up on opportunities uncovered by other sales channels.
- Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
- Actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize revenue for individual properties.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked, including generating proposals and writing contracts.
- Transfer accurate, complete, and timely information to properties in accordance with brand standards.
Requirements:
- Understand the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand.
- Closely follow market trends and target customer information to maximize revenue.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all guests and customers, executing exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support the company's Service and Relationship Strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Utilize the intranet for resources and information.
- Complete property site inspections to learn unique selling points of various properties.
- Attend and complete all appropriate training courses as designated to learn Sales Business Processes and use of various systems.
