Role Overview

DataForce is seeking a dedicated Project Management Specialist to enhance our team in Barcelona, Spain.

Position Summary

The Project Management Specialist will collaborate closely with their supervisor to execute a variety of projects in alignment with established plans. This role involves engaging with various stakeholders to comprehend project requirements, leveraging project management expertise and technical skills to allocate tasks, assist in problem resolution, and support management in daily departmental operations. The Specialist will oversee the entire lifecycle of data-related projects, including data annotation, collection, transcription, and staffing, ensuring smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities

In this capacity, you will be accountable for managing project timelines, schedules, work hours, and budgets; facilitating stakeholder meetings; and ensuring adherence to project deadlines.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supervising daily project operations, from data assignments to quality assurance, managing the data lifecycle effectively.
  • Collaborating with the Project Manager to implement and execute project plans, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Identifying potential risks and ensuring project quality and precision.
  • Acting as the liaison between contributors and the Payments team regarding any payment-related concerns.
  • Coordinating with various teams and departments, such as Recruitment, Payments, IT, and Operations, to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with team members, contributors, and independent contractors.
  • Managing multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment with effective prioritization.
  • Ensuring compliance with project frameworks and maintaining proper documentation for each project.

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for conveying critical project updates.
  • Proficient resource planning skills for strategic allocation of resources.
  • Strong organizational skills to thrive under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities to engage with all stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving aptitude to devise creative solutions for arising challenges.
  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking for assessing situations and implementing solutions.
  • Competency in business applications and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.

Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with planning, organization, and prioritization tools to ensure project success.
  • Knowledge of file management and administrative procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in Project Coordination (industry experience is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with PMI/PMP international project management standards.
  • Understanding of the AI industry.
  • Experience in supporting Machine Learning data annotation, collection, transcription, and staffing projects.
  • Experience with support ticketing systems.
  • Experience working with crowd workers/community.
  • Experience in a multinational/multicultural virtual working environment.
  • Experience in a cross-functional/matrix organization.
  • Familiarity with various Image Annotation platforms.
  • Knowledge of Image Annotation techniques, including Lidar image annotation and annotations for Autonomous Driving.
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
