Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing our busy kitchen, creating and executing top-notch food, and ensuring statutory compliance in all food and drink related areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen team, ensuring a smooth-running operation and high-quality food production.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop new menu ideas and techniques, and to maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, and maintain accurate records and inventory management.
- Lead by example, creating a positive and supportive team environment that fosters growth and development.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience as a Sous Chef in a busy, high-volume environment.
- Proven track record of managing large kitchen teams and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Passion for food and commitment to using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients.
- Methodical and process-driven approach, with the ability to work flexibly and calmly under pressure.
