Executive Sous Chef Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona, a five-star urban resort of extraordinary experiences.

As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing our busy kitchen, creating and executing top-notch food with a focus on quality, presentation, and flavor. You will work closely with our Executive Chef to develop innovative menus and ensure statutory compliance in all food and drink related areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Lead a multicultural team of chefs and kitchen staff
  • Ensure high food hygiene standards and compliance with HACCP protocols
  • Collaborate with our Executive Chef to drive culinary innovation and excellence
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Banquet Chef in a busy environment
  • Experience working under HACCP protocols and cost control
  • Leadership skills and ability to motivate a team
  • Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and ability to handle different streams of operation
