About the Job
You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by improving metrics for our two primary income streams: Subscriptions and Consumables. This will involve:
- Developing value propositions for our membership and paid products
- Collaborating with the Data team to identify high-converting features and iterating on those that need improvement
- Proposing testing strategies to enhance paywall conversion rates and subscription uptake
- Designing pricing strategies to achieve market fit in various markets and geographies
- Testing consumables to find the optimal price and value proposition
- Exploring how consumables can coexist with subscriptions
- Working closely with the Ad Revenue/AdOps team to integrate ads into the monetization strategy
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Over 3 years (ideally 5) of experience in improving revenue through subscriptions and one-off product purchases
- Focus on apps: Experience with app-based subscription products
- Analytical tools and paywall testing: Experience working with subscription analytics and paywall testing tools like RevenueCat, Adapty, Qonversion, or Purchasely
- AB testing knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of AB testing, comfortable discussing incremental impact, statistical significance, or type 1 and type 2 errors
- Product analytics: Experience with product analytics tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap, or Posthog
- Paywall AB testing: Proven experience in conducting AB testing for paywalls, creating a backlog of experiments based on hypotheses to be tested
- Store pricing configuration: Understanding how pricing configuration works in the App Store and Google Play
- Metric understanding: Easily comprehend metrics like ARPU, ARPPU, ROAS, or Payback period
