Director of Business Development

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to join our Pharmaceuticals Business Development team in Madrid. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and revenue in the EMEA, LATAM, CEE, and CIS regions.
Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, and develop and execute licensing and acquisition strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth and revenue in the EMEA, LATAM, CEE, and CIS regions
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop and execute licensing and acquisition strategies
- Manage multiple, complex projects with broad scope simultaneously
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) with 15 years of experience, including 5+ years in business development/licensing for generic pharmaceuticals
- Proven understanding of pharmaceutical development, including a solid understanding of regulatory and IP processes
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative mindset
- Ability to utilize Microsoft O365 and other collaborative tools to prioritize data, drive processes, and track performance metrics
