At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we're committed to making a positive impact on a global scale. As a Business Development Director, you'll play a key role in driving our mission forward by securing and retaining business for PPD through professional, consultative, and proactive sales activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead RFP strategy calls and develop client proposals to position PPD as a primary or preferred provider for clinical development work.
  • Secure new business authorizations at or above assigned authorization goals and negotiate and close contracts.
  • Maintain sales databases and report on cold call and client visit activity.
  • Act as a liaison between sponsors and the company on all business development activities and requirements.
  • Coordinate with clinical development areas to ensure successful implementation and gather data on marketing trends and driven products/services and pricing.
About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading company in the clinical research industry. As a Business Development Director, you'll have the chance to work with key markets across Europe, including the UK, France, DACH, BeNeLux, and Nordics. You'll be based anywhere in Europe, with flexibility to travel as required (c. 3 days per week on the road, including overnight stays).
