Job Title: Business Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at Labcorp. As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for identifying and shaping opportunities for our continued growth within our European territories.

This is a field-based role that requires frequent travel within the designated territories, with a focus on selling Real-World Data (RWD) solutions that enable clinical trials through optimizing protocol design, patient recruitment, and other solutions/services developed.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant client-facing experience selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech section, with direct interaction with mid-level and executive-level decision makers. RWD/RWE and outcomes research knowledge and sales experience are preferred.

The successful candidate will be comfortable discussing Real-world data, clinical trial, and research concepts with Biopharma customers and physician stakeholders. They will also have a strong understanding of strengths and limitations of different real-world data sources and the ability to apply this in solution recommendations that effectively address customer challenges.

The Business Development Director will be responsible for achieving account portfolio financial goals, achieving account portfolio relationship building goals, growing market share of existing service lines, and optimizing new service line launch. They will also be responsible for maintaining frequent personal contact with clients, participating in bid defense and/or capabilities meetings, leading client presentations, and selling the business unit's capabilities and differentiation frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in the life sciences and a strong understanding of analytics and modeling. They will be a strategic thinker with the ability to identify client needs, resourceful networking skills, and the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

The Business Development Director will be part of a cross-functional team and will be responsible for communicating account plans, modification, and account activity through SFDC. They will also be responsible for providing comprehensive intelligence on key competitors and participating in proposal scope development as appropriate.
