Executive Director of Sales and Marketing - Wine Sector

Cátenon Worldwide Executive Search is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Sales and Marketing to lead the commercial development of our client's wine business in the European and Asian markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial business plan to launch new products on an international basis.
  2. Define and manage the budget for the designated area, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, identifying new business opportunities and negotiating agreements.
  4. Develop and execute a distribution strategy, analyzing competitors and identifying areas for improvement.
  5. Measure the return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities, providing data-driven insights to inform future decisions.
  6. Lead client negotiations, ensuring successful partnerships and revenue growth.
  7. Collaborate with marketing and design agencies to develop effective communication plans and strategies, aligning with the brand's overall vision.
  8. Provide regular reporting to the board, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking progress against goals.

Requirements:

  1. University degree and ideally an MBA or similar.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within the industry, with a proven track record of success.
  3. International experience and knowledge of key distributors in Modern Trade and On Trade.
  4. Experience managing brands and marketing teams, with a focus on driving business growth.
  5. Entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, and a crossover mindset.
  6. Proactive, results-oriented, and a team player with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  7. English proficiency and ability to travel.
  8. Experience in sales and marketing in the mass commodities sector.
