Executive Sous Chef Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing our busy kitchen and creating delicious flavors for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth service and high-quality food
  • Create and execute menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize kitchen efficiency
  • Collaborate with our Executive Chef to drive innovation and excellence in our culinary offerings

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Banquet Chef in a busy environment
  • Familiarity with HACCP protocols and ability to cost control plates
  • Experience in leading multicultural teams and with a wide knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make effective decisions under pressure
  • Passion for food and a love for our flavors
  • Collaborative approach to achieve the highest standards of delivery
  • Team player with a focus on getting things done
