About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Finance Vice President to join our team at ING Bank N.V. in Amsterdam. As a key member of our Sustainable Finance team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our sustainable finance business and contributing to our mission of making a positive impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead deal teams on origination and execution of sustainable deals, working closely with other deal team members and external deal participants to bring transactions to a successful close.
  • Develop and implement sector and country strategies to enhance the number of transactions and further grow our sustainable finance business.
  • Create and manage relationships with clients, experts, advisors, and industry bodies to drive business growth and enhance our reputation.
  • Enhance internal and external profiling to promote ING's sustainable business initiatives and showcase our expertise in sustainable finance.
  • Continuously innovate and develop new sustainable finance products and structures to solve real-world issues and identify new growth markets.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in originating and executing transactions in structured finance, debt capital markets, or deal structuring, or in ESG advisory with active client-facing front-office experience.
  • Experience with sustainability-related transactions is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and creative skills, with the ability to drive business growth and mobilize the organization in a collaborative spirit.
  • A Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant discipline, with additional sustainability-related academic background a plus.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).
