About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Finance Expert to join our team at Telefonica S.A. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving our sustainability agenda and contributing to the development of innovative financial solutions that support our environmental and social goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a variety of projects related to sustainable finance and financial impact of sustainability, including the strategic approach of these topics:
  • Reporting on sustainability and financial impact (CSRD and others)
  • Development and implementation of the European sustainable finance framework, i.e.: taxonomy of sustainable activities
  • Development and implementation of sustainability projects related with sustainable finance
  • Support in the issuance of green bonds; annual impact report and its internal control processes implementation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or related, also considered Business/Legal/Science/Engineering with a postgraduate in environment
  • Previous experience in sustainable finance topics will be valued: green / sustainable bonds / loans issuance, carbon funds, carbon pricing, etc.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in sustainability, either in a company or consultancy
  • Previous experience in environment/climate change is needed
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment (EU-level initiatives on sustainability matters; reporting obligations etc.) would be recognized
