What you will do

We are seeking an experienced International Business Development Director to help defense professionals adopt wireless technologies for their operations. The position is global, and our team is diverse and distributed worldwide.

As a key member of the MCN team, you will work closely with the global head of sales for Defense and other teams to drive business growth. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading opportunity qualification in coordination with teams in Market Areas and business areas
  • Developing sales strategies for qualified opportunities, including a win-plan covering key areas required to develop the business
  • Guiding the creation of opportunity engagement plans, defining stages and targets with associated timelines and resources
  • Problem-solving to qualify and quantify the value of Ericsson's proposition to defense customers
  • Mapping customer operational requirements into recommendations and solutions
  • Developing contents and supporting materials for workshops and customer sessions
  • Contributing to defining industrial setup, including Go-To-market options, and risk analysis, commercial, contractual, and negotiation strategy
Requirements

The position requires a deep understanding of the critical communications market, including:

  • Familiarity with the industry, understanding economics, dynamics, regulations, and ecosystem
  • Business development and procurement processes with Government and public agencies in charge of Defense communications services
  • End-users' operational requirements and ways of working, including specific requirements and models for delivery, support, and operating practices
