Chemical Sales Specialist with Strong Industry Connections

With annual revenue of approximately $40 billion, our Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) is a strategic growth area for the company. As a Chemical Sales Specialist, you'll be part of our UK team, managing our business in Spain and Portugal.
The Role: As a representative of the LCD Brand portfolio, you'll be responsible for selling our chemical brands from a general perspective and project-specific approach. This role requires 50% travel and involves direct customer contact, both virtually and in the field. You'll work closely with channel partners, utilizing SFDC CRM system and Power BI sales reporting to develop an effective territory sales plan.
Your Responsibilities:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of our capabilities under the brands Fisher Chemical, Thermo Scientific, and Fisher Bio Reagents.
- Act as an ambassador of Thermo Fisher Scientific, embracing our company values and building long-term relationships with customers.
- Utilize SFDC CRM system and Power BI sales reporting to analyze sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop corrective actions.
- Develop and implement a Target Account Plan to achieve sales targets for the territory.
- Maintain high ethical standards, ensuring professional business conduct.
Requirements:
- Field-based experience in commercial environments within the chemicals market.
- A university degree in chemistry or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in all customer situations.
- Tenacity and determination to exceed targets.
- Good organizational skills with clear prioritization of short- and long-term tasks.
Estimated salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
