The Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD)
LCD provides a full range of analytical reagents and research and discovery chemicals to Thermo Fisher's core markets worldwide. This division has been identified as a strategic growth area for the company, with expansion opportunities in the US, Europe, and developing markets, especially Asia. LCD operates five facilities in the US and Europe and sells a significant portion of its products through channel partners in major markets around the world.
Job Description
As a Global Chemical Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for representing the Laboratory Chemicals Division Brand portfolio to customers and supporting our channel partners. This role reports to the Region Sales Manager and involves selling chemical brands from a general perspective and a project-specific approach. The role requires 50% travel, with 85% of your time spent in direct contact with customers, both virtually and in the field, and working closely with channel partners. Overnight stays are expected due to the size of the territory and the global nature of the business. Sales support will be provided by the Manager, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
Your Responsibilities
* Gain a full understanding of the capabilities of the company under the brands Fisher Chemical, Thermo Scientific (former Acros Organics, Maybrigde, and Alfa Aesar) and Fisher Bio Reagents, including bulk and custom products.
* Act as an ambassador of Thermo Fisher Scientific and fully embrace the company values.
* Build long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing customers.
About You
We estimate that this position comes with a competitive salary between $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
