We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to join our team as the connecting link between our customers and our mills in Germany, France, Spain, and Poland. Key Responsibilities:
Managing account customers: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and maximizing customer satisfaction. Customer acquisition: Identify and target potential customers to expand the customer base and increase sales opportunities. Price negotiation: Engage in negotiations with customers to establish favorable pricing agreements while maintaining profitability for the company. Market investigation: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, customer demands, and competitors' activities, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making. Improve supply share per customer: Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply chain operations and increase the company's market share within each customer account. Develop HAV products: Work closely with the product development team to identify opportunities for high added-value products and contribute to their development. Support on product development: Provide input and feedback on product development initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market requirements.
Requirements:
A bachelor's or master's degree in economics, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Alternatively, long-term experience in the steel industry will be considered. Willingness to travel: Ability to travel within Germany and abroad to our mills, approximately 30-50% of the time. Industry Knowledge: Possess a good understanding of the product portfolio, market dynamics, competitors, customers, applications, production processes, and supply chain within the steel industry. Familiarity with supply chain operations, competitor activities, and the automotive sector is essential. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German, English, and French. Multicultural Environment: Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multinational environment, collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders. Personal Traits: Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and assume high levels of responsibility. Strong team player with a hands-on mentality and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Adaptability: Flexible, creative, and open-minded, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per annum based on location and experience.
