Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, empowering businesses to innovate and grow. We're seeking an exceptional Cloud Digital Sovereignty Business Development Strategist to join our team.

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with AWS Sales, Partners, Public Policy, Business Contracts, Proposals, Legal, and other teams and business leaders to identify, develop, and pursue strategic opportunities in digital sovereignty. You will work closely with sales and partner leaders to define inputs, develop win themes, and shape strategies for future procurement of AWS Digital Sovereignty Cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Opportunity Identification

Diligently research and identify new digital sovereignty business opportunities across various industries and geographies.

Collaboration and Communication

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales teams, partners, and industry advisors/consultants.

Business Development and Capture Strategies

Define and own strategies, approaches, and plans to capture new digital sovereignty business opportunities.

Pipeline Development and Maintenance

Work with AWS Industries and Public Sector sales teams to develop and maintain a multi-year pipeline of cloud-related digital sovereignty opportunities.

Proposal Development and Execution

Develop and oversee implementation of win strategies, proposal approaches, and technical solutions for customers and AWS Partners.

Business Growth and Development

Drive business growth by identifying new revenue streams, expanding existing customer relationships, and developing strategic partnerships.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 7+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
  • A thorough understanding of government procurement and government contract vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly earn respect from team members, partners, and customers.
  • The ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • A solid understanding of cloud adoption trends, opportunities, and challenges in highly regulated industries and the public sector.
