Head of Sustainability Partnerships

About the Role
The Head of Net Zero is responsible for developing and executing a globally impactful partnerships strategy that underpins NTT DATA's sustainability commitments and organisational purpose. This position will oversee NTT DATA's implementation of sustainability partnerships, linked to the activation and sustained growth of employee volunteering that extend NTT DATA's deep legacy and expertise in social impact, philanthropy, community and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, and executes NTT DATA's sustainability partnerships strategy in collaboration with the SVP of Sustainability and other executives to elevate NTT DATA's unique technology solutions and capabilities.
- Oversees and activates the company's employee volunteering programme, enabling employee volunteer days to participate in the strategic partnerships on a regional and local level.
- Establishes a robust measurement framework with external verification to ensure all partnership and project outcomes and impacts can be consistently evaluated, both impact for NTT DATA and impact to society.
- Establishes a regular monitoring with impact dashboards for the senior executive audience to see at a glance performance.
- Oversees and develops the business cases for prospective and existing partners in collaboration with other NTT DATA functions.
- Actively directs NTT DATA's partnerships across the technology sector, including direct management of major partnerships, by creating and executing joint partner business plans with short and long-term horizons and a strong focus on relationship activation resulting in measurable impact and revenue/value creation.
- Works collaboratively across NTT DATA's teams from innovation, go to market, sales enablement and global marketing to prioritise, establish, and grow new data and technology integration sustainability partnerships within the industry to showcase and elevate NTT DATA's unique capabilities.
- Applies the positive impact and results from the projects to support SVP Sustainability and the NTT DATA business to develop new services and solutions across verticals.
- Supports the SVP of Sustainability directly contributing to related, early-stage initiatives and opportunities in our sector.
- Collaborates with internal leaders to activate, deliver and achieve sustained growth of employee volunteering to meet NTT DATA's sustainability public ambitions.
- Develops strong external relationships with NGOs, Government and Academia to evidence to our clients and alliances NTT DATA's position as leader in public policy.
Requirements
- Well-developed culture-building skills, with the capability to evangelise the case for scalable partnership strategies and processes
- Inspirational leadership skills, combining an entrepreneurial spirit with a high level of energy, dedication, and care for team members; unquestionably strong background in people leadership and mentorship
- Has a passion for sustainability and positive impact, and the role that technology and data can play in enabling a more sustainable future
- Understanding of sustainability issues and how to commercialise them through positive collaborations; demonstrated ability to connect these challenges to real infrastructure solutions to demonstrate leadership and commitment to sustainability
- Deep understanding of the IT Services sector and communications technologies
- Ability to analyse reports and sustainability frameworks for risks and dependencies
- Ability to manage multiple long-term projects with multiple stakeholders in an international context to achieve global impact
- Ability to articulate points clearly and concisely, and to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities
- Has a sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company's success
- Has critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills
- Successful bid writing, government affairs, public affairs NGO/charity, comfortable on world stage negotiating partnership deliverables and high profile speaking opportunities
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Sales, Marketing or Business Operations)
- Relevant vendor certifications would be advantageous.
