Job Title: Business Development Associate
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our Expedia Media Solutions team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving new account acquisition and revenue growth in the TravelAds program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire new business by converting existing Expedia Group customers to the Media Solutions TravelAds platform.
- Develop strategic territory-specific strategies to reach quarterly targets.
- Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to create opportunities to generate sales leads and revenue.
- Develop relationships with customers or their account team, including key buyers/decision makers.
- Develop an understanding of customer's business goals through appropriate organization channels.
- Recommend products, services, and insights that will meet customer needs.
- Complete basic account plans that outline tactics to acquire and/or maintain business.
- Acquire a basic understanding of how the department operates and fits into the larger organization.
- Guide accounts to valuable insights and present insights that can benefit account and organization.
- Gather data/information on potential ideas and solutions to address a business need.
- Exchange simple information in straightforward situations to gain the support of others.
- Proactively seek help from a manager when needed to address areas of difference and ensure agreements among all parties.
- Identify the key stakeholders in decision making for the account.
- Build a working knowledge of products, technologies, offerings, etc., within the scope of responsibility.
- Develop a broad understanding of competitors' standard products and services.
- Understand the importance of developing rapport and maintaining ongoing business relationships with colleagues and external customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in English and a second language of either French, German, Spanish, or Italian.
- Proficient communicator, predominantly on the phone.
- Time management and organization skills.
- Growing knowledge of sales techniques.
