We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our Large Corp Regional Distribution Team, you will be responsible for selling Allianz Commercial products and services to new and existing corporate clients.

Your primary objective will be to develop and foster long-term, sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, brokers, and Allianz staff. You will lead and mobilize key account teams to ensure Allianz performance and deliver client and broker satisfaction.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating client and broker understanding of Allianz Commercial underwriting appetites and capabilities.
  • Acting as the first port of call solution provider and trusted advisor for all client accounts.
  • Developing strong relationships with brokers to create market opportunities and collaborate efficiently on key accounts.
  • Driving remedial actions where necessary, such as large claims.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to identify suitable pipeline clients.
  • Proactively leading and coordinating bids for key client acquisition with broker support.
  • Developing in-depth client and industry expertise.
  • Driving Strategic Account Planning.
  • Developing compelling individual value propositions for key people involved in the buying decision.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have substantial experience in an Underwriting or Business Development role in industrial/specialty insurance business and have demonstrated that you foster long-term, profitable relationships at senior level with brokers and clients.

You will also need to bring:

  • Significant experience delivering success in an analytical role, such as sales or finance controlling.
  • A successful track record prospecting new clients in the industrial and specialty insurance segment.
  • A proven ability to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail.
  • Problem resolution and anticipation.
  • Ability to negotiate and to manage conflicting priorities of various parties.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM / PowerBi.
