Role Overview
We are seeking a Pet Health Business Development Representative to implement our sales strategy and sales plan, driving business growth and achieving sales objectives in targeted accounts. The successful candidate will cultivate customer relationships, create demand realization, and manage pet health accounts and distribution channels.
Responsibilities
- Drive pet health portfolio growth by developing and executing sales strategies that meet quarterly sales targets.
- Manage key customer accounts in expansion markets, leading business development and ensuring sell-out plans are implemented.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with customers, distributors, and key influencers to promote the Elanco brand and business goals.
- Represent the 'voice of the customer' to Elanco management and marketing, providing feedback on customer needs and opportunities.
- Monitor and track business results, adapting approaches and strategies as necessary.
Requirements
- Education background in Veterinary or Animal Science.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the animal health industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and assess customer needs.
Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000, depending on location and experience.
