About the Role

As a Key Account Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of German SME clients, focusing on portfolio growth and long-term account retention strategies. You will identify client needs, sell value components, and proactively manage an effective pipeline to achieve profitable growth targets.

Your Responsibilities

  • Fully manage a portfolio of German SME clients with clear focus on portfolio growth and long-term account retention strategy.
  • Identify client needs with products and services and sell appropriate value components to create greater customer engagement.
  • Proactively manage an effective pipeline, identifying and prioritizing opportunities to achieve and exceed profitable growth targets.
  • Consistently seek out new sources for expansion opportunities, such as self-generated leads, client referrals, subsidiaries, or sister companies.
  • Evaluate premium value delivery aligned with client goals, ensuring positive customer experiences and achieving customer advocacy.

Your Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Proficiency in German plus advanced English skills.
  • Background working in the German market.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented approach with a positive outlook and clear focus on achieving and exceeding targets and goals.
  • A challenger mindset with ability to think creatively to identify new business opportunities.
  • Natural forward planner with high organizational skills to manage multiple customers at different stages of the sales process.
  • Excellent communication skills, including confidence when speaking with senior executives, capacity to influence decision-makers, and ability to quickly gain in-depth understanding of each client's needs.
  • Strong negotiation skills and consultative sales abilities.

What We Offer

Based on industry standards, your estimated salary for this position is €60,000 - €80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
