Job Overview:
Head of Commercial GrowthThe Head of Commercial Growth will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of commercial strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability.
Main Responsibilities:- Energy Trading Strategy: Formulate and execute a robust energy trading strategy to maximize revenue from renewable projects.
- Revenue Optimization: Identify opportunities to increase revenue through energy sales, including Guarantees of Origin and Market Access.
- Commercial Strategy Development: Design and implement forward-thinking commercial strategies to maximize revenue from solar photovoltaic projects and other renewable technologies.
- PPA Management and Contract Negotiation: Manage Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and negotiate energy sales contracts with corporate clients and utilities.
- Financial Planning, Market Analysis & Business Development: Analyze market dynamics, competitor actions, and regulatory updates to inform commercial strategy.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish effective systems for tracking revenue performance against goals and key metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; an MBA or Master's is preferred.
- Over 8 years of experience crafting and implementing successful commercial strategies within the energy sector.
- Proven expertise in managing PPAs and negotiating complex energy sales contracts.
- Strong analytical skills to convert market insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience in client acquisition and relationship management in the energy industry.
- Demonstrated leadership with experience managing high-performing teams.
- Languages: Fluent in English; additional EU language is a plus.
Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 per annum.
