Sales and Service Director for Group Sales

**Overview**: Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled Sales and Service Director to lead our group sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing successful solicitation strategies to maximize revenue potential from groups, banquets, and meeting spaces.
**Responsibilities:**
- Direct and manage all group and banquet sales activities to optimize revenue potential through effective communication with clients and site inspections.
- Recruit, direct, manage, train, and counsel a team of Groups Sales managers, executives, coordinators, a Sales Analyst, and Trainees.
- Lead weekly groups' sales meetings and participate in relevant sales-related meetings, such as Sales Strategy, Morning Briefing, and Pre-Convention meetings.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Director of Convention Services to design Hotel Information Displays (HID) for critical processes involving groups and sales.
- Work closely with the Director of Revenue Management to set pricing for group requests and with other hotel departments to provide exceptional customer service.
**Requirements:**
- The ideal candidate should have at least 4 years of experience in Direct Sales and possess a proven track record of leading a sales team.
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in Direct Sales is required, along with a passion for sales and service, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work under pressure, assess/evaluate performance fairly, and possess good knowledge of hotel and competitive environments.
**Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year**, depending on location and experience. Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
