Position Overview:

In this role, you will oversee all facets of territory management and field force deployment across Spain Mainland TR, Canary Islands TR, and Portugal TR. This involves close collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager, the Director of Western Europe Travel Retail, the area's Consumer Activation Manager, the Finance Manager, and central Global Travel Retail functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving market and area P&L objectives while formulating annual plans for assigned regions. This includes establishing ongoing forecasts, providing input for LE, and working with regional teams for sales analysis and marketing budget formulation. You will also manage investments and savings to optimize the efficiency of the company's resources.
  • Tasked with nurturing customer and trade relationships, ensuring alignment with domestic markets. Responsibilities include managing documentation (contracts, invoices, etc.), upholding sales integrity protocols (Legitimate Market Demand, Know Your Customer, etc.), and ensuring compliance within the designated territories.
  • Responsible for executing sales, distribution, and marketing strategies, which encompass portfolio and pricing strategies, merchandising, shelf space management, and promotional initiatives. You will monitor progress and suggest corrective measures as necessary. Additionally, you will track KPIs and report outcomes related to sales volume, pricing, inventory management, and brand listings to the RSM and RSD. Identifying and leveraging business opportunities through strategic insights and market developments will also be part of your role.
  • Collaborate with your line manager to initiate and conclude third-party contracts for in-store promotions and advertising.
  • Oversee territory and field force management, including coaching and motivating outsourced personnel. Collect field data utilizing the sales automation tool.

Candidate Profile:

  • A university degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 5-8 years of experience in sales, distribution, channel management, or field trade marketing.
  • Experience in managing consumer and trade promotions, preferably within the FMCG or Travel Retail sectors, with a focus on Key Account Management.
  • Cross-cultural experience and familiarity with Travel Retail are advantageous.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP, TM1, PowerBI, and MS Teams is beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in trade research.
  • Expertise in Key Account Management.
  • Proficient in distribution management.
