Position Overview
The Strategic Account Manager (also known as Strategic Territory Sales Representative - STSR) is a pivotal sales position focused on generating new business opportunities and enhancing existing relationships within our designated accounts. You will be tasked with achieving annual sales targets, with specific quarterly objectives. As a member of the Strategic Territory organization, your primary responsibility will be to identify and pursue new business prospects. Collaboration with various teams, including Customer Success, Technical Sales, Client Services, and Marketing, will be essential to maximize business growth from your assigned accounts. You will report directly to the Senior Sales Manager in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities within strategic accounts, emphasizing customer value and long-term objectives. Work closely with sales teams and channel partners to strengthen business relationships with assigned clients. Create comprehensive account plans for priority accounts, incorporating insights from multiple teams. Analyze customer profiles, craft compelling value propositions, and outline execution strategies. Build and maintain relationships within accounts, translating challenges into unique value propositions. Utilize Return on Investment sales methodologies and provide precise sales forecasts. Collaborate with customer success teams on renewal sales initiatives. Negotiate agreements within targeted accounts, including on behalf of partners. Establish trust by understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional experiences. Identify key personnel, address challenges, and propose effective solutions. Present proposals to senior management, demonstrating value and negotiating agreements. Share successful sales strategies and experiences with the team. Develop quarterly sales forecasts and strategic plans. Create action plans to address challenges and achieve desired outcomes.Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in both English and French. Understanding of sales processes and various selling methodologies such as TAS, Value Selling, and Solution Selling. Familiarity with sales tracking applications (e.g., Salesforce). Experience in submitting quarterly sales forecasts and achieving performance-based results. Ability to engage with upper management within assigned accounts. Proficient in using sales tools or a willingness to learn (e.g., SFDC, OutReach, Consensus, Sales Navigator/LinkedIn, and Gong). Knowledge of Microsoft products, particularly Excel. Experience in inside sales or office-based sales roles. Adaptability to unexpected changes in the sales environment. Commitment to enhancing sales skills through on-the-job coaching and self-directed learning.About Autodesk
