We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team in Elanco Spain S L. As an HRBP Iberia, you will play a critical role in supporting the business strategy by developing and delivering the people strategy in Spain and Portugal.
Key Responsibilities- Thought Leadership and Strategic Partnership: Partner with business leaders and various Centers of Excellence to develop the business strategy and corresponding HR strategy. Member of the cluster Leadership Team.
- Talent Management and Staff Development: Partner with business leaders to provide coaching and develop strategies to proactively manage the retention and development of key talent, including current and future leadership talent.
- Organization Diagnosis, Intervention Design and Change Management: Advise and influence business leaders to ensure the cluster is appropriately designed to achieve its strategic and operational business objectives.
- Core HR Process Stewardship: Advise and influence site leaders to ensure that core HR processes are leveraged for behavior change with employees and influence the central HR COEs by providing perspectives and needs of the business group for consideration in developing the programs and processes.
- Deliver HR Essential Wins: Ensure essential goals are met, local HR programs are implemented, and relevant processes are followed.
- Thought Leadership and Strategic Partnership: Partner with business leaders and various COEs to develop the cluster business strategy and corresponding HRM strategies. This includes coaching supervisors to handle situations with skill rather than managing the issue for them, enhancing culture and team engagement, building capabilities, design competitive reward strategies, organization design and various specific projects in support the business re-organization /realignment/integration.
- Organization and Talent Development: Drive and facilitate the Success Management and Talent Review. Execute agreed Organizational and Talent Development Plans. Facilitate the Potential Calibration meeting for associates. Coach supervisors in designing and executing actionable, robust development plans for their team.
- Recruitment: Champion the Elanco recruitment process, coaching supervisors on their role and responsibility within the process and leveraging centralized recruitment services and expertise in line with the HR operating model.
- Performance Management: Drive and champion the Performance Management framework. Facilitate the Team Objective Setting and Performance Calibration meetings for employees. Coach supervisors in managing high and low performers.
- Learning and Development: Conduct a training and development needs analysis, design and facilitate the delivery of a comprehensive training and development plan. Work collaboratively with the Learning & Development team to leverage the central program and foundation for leadership development in Elanco.
- Compensation and Benefits: Facilitate the annual salary review process and ensure reward differentiation of individuals through supervisors. Work with Compensation & Benefit CoE to propose and design reward and recognition strategies aligned with policies and principles. Ensure compliance with local level benefit administration.
- Headcount Planning and Recruitment: Contribute to the Annual Business Planning and Budget process through managing the headcount and people costs. Understand the labor market, sources, and attracts the right talent. Ensure headcount compliance (actual v's plan) through regular review process in collaboration with GM and Finance.
- Policies and Practices: Ensure compliance and communication of Elanco Code of Conduct and other local HR policies to all employees. Interpret and coach supervisors on company policies and practices challenging them to make better decisions in line with Elanco values. Ensure Elanco Solution Center HR team are trained on HR policies.
- HR Investigation/Discipline: In charge of Country Investigation Management and in particular compliance with external rules/applicable laws and regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Employee Relations: Foster positive and sustainable employee relations and own the ER/employee representation processes in the cluster. Foster a positive relationship with the works council, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and promoting a healthy and productive work environment.
- Organization Diagnosis, Intervention Design, and Change Management: Proactively leads continuous improvement in process, team effectiveness, management coaching, communication, training, and culture. Act as HR change agent in functional transformation.
- Elanco Solution Center Partnership: Partner with Elanco Solution Center HR teams (HR Operations (Admin/Payroll, Talent Acquisition), leveraging centralized capabilities and ensuring process compliance. Act as a thought partner for these teams, and deliver training as required.
- HR Communications: Ensure that Communications regarding HR Topics, personal development, opportunities, internal procedures, events are delivered in the appropriate manner to all team members.
- Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent from reputable university
- 10+ years of Human Resource experience in either HR Generalist or Specialist roles preferably from a medium to large multinational company
- Solid knowledge of employment law, Recruiting, C&B; and/or Organization Development philosophy and practice along with HR professional ethics
- Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, and Portuguese is preferable
- Previous experience in collaborating with Spanish Works Councils.
- Ability to work with multiple countries and different local environments (including labor law) in a matrix international organization.
- Expertise working with HR Centers of Expertise and Solution Centers.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time, to meet affiliates' needs.
- Location: Based in the cluster, preferably in Madrid, Spain.
- Flexibility to work 30 days per quarter or 3 days per week from the office, and remaining in home office.
