Position Description The HR Business Partner Iberia is responsible for supporting the business strategy by developing and delivering the people strategy in Spain and Portugal. This role will focus on partnering with Elanco business leaders in the respective countries, in attracting, retaining, and developing talent whilst building high performing teams.
In addition, this role will be responsible for the ER / IR relationship with the local works council. This role is a member of the cluster lead team and will be responsible for:
Thought Leadership and Strategic Partnership: Partners with respective business leaders and various Centers of Excellence (COEs) to develop the business strategy and corresponding HR strategy.
Talent Management and Staff Development: Partners with respective business leaders to provide coaching and develop strategies to proactively manage the retention and development of key talent including current and future leadership talent.
Organization Diagnosis, Intervention Design and Change Management: Advises and influences business leaders to ensure the cluster is appropriately designed to achieve its strategic and operational business objectives.
Core HR Process Stewardship: Advises and influences site leaders to ensure that core HR processes are leveraged for behavior change with employees.
Deliver HR Essential Wins: Ensuring essential goals are met, local HR programs are implemented, and relevant processes are followed.
Functions, Duties, Tasks Thought Leadership and Strategic Partnership: Partner with respective business leaders and various COEs to develop the cluster business strategy and corresponding HRM strategies.
Organization and Talent Development: Drive and facilitate the Success Management and Talent Review. Execute agreed Organizational and Talent Development Plans.
Recruitment: Champion the Elanco recruitment process, coaching supervisors on their role and responsibility within the process.
Performance Management: Drive and champion the Performance Management framework.
Learning and Development: Conduct a training and development needs analysis, design and facilitate the delivery of a comprehensive training and development plan.
Compensation and Benefits: Facilitate the annual salary review process and ensure reward differentiation of individuals through supervisors.
Headcount Planning and Recruitment: Contribute to the Annual Business Planning and Budget process through managing the headcount and people costs.
Policies and Practices: Ensure compliance and communication of Elanco Code of Conduct and other local HR policies to all employees.
HR Investigation / Discipline: In charge of Country Investigation Management and compliance with external rules / applicable laws and regulations.
Employee Relations: Foster positive and sustainable employee relations and own the ER / employee representation processes in the cluster.
Minimum Qualification Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent from reputable university.
10+ years of Human Resource experience in either HR Generalist or Specialist roles preferably from a medium to large multinational company.
Solid knowledge of employment law, Recruiting, C&B; and/or Organization Development philosophy and practice along with HR professional ethics.
Fluency in English and Spanish is essential, and Portuguese is preferable.
Additional Preferences Previous experience in collaborating with Spanish Works Councils.
Ability to work with multiple countries and different local environments (including labor law) in a matrix international organization.
Expertise working with HR Centers of Expertise and Solution Centers.
Other Information Travel approximately 10% of the time, to meet affiliates' needs.
Location: Based in the cluster, preferably in Madrid, Spain.
Flexibility to work 30 days per quarter or 3 days per week from the office, and remaining in home office.
