About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing our busy kitchen, creating and executing top-notch food, and ensuring statutory compliance in all food and drink related areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the kitchen team, ensuring a smooth-running operation and high-quality food production.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a passion for food and a commitment to excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to drive innovation and creativity in the kitchen.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Banquet Chef in a busy, bustling environment.
  • Proven track record of leading multicultural teams and managing kitchen operations.
  • Experience in Mediterranean cuisine and knowledge of HACCP protocols.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for food and a commitment to excellence.
