As a Director, Business Development, you will play a critical role in securing and retaining business for PPD through professional, consultative, and proactive sales activities. You will position PPD as a primary or preferred provider for all clinical development work to be outsourced, qualifying deals and developing proposals that meet strategic company goals.
The sales territory for this role will cover key markets across Europe, including the UK, France, DACH, BeNeLux, and Nordics. You will be based anywhere in Europe, providing you live close to an international airport and are willing to travel as required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading RFP strategy calls, developing client proposals, and preparing client presentations
- Negotiating and closing contracts
- Signing new business authorizations at or above assigned authorization goal
- Maintaining sales database and cold call and client visit activity reports
- Acting as a liaison between sponsor and company on all business development activities and requirements
