Job SummaryThis role reports to the Director, Community & Indigenous Engagement, responsible for building long-term supplier relationships with northern suppliers. The position will oversee the implementation of Cameco's preferred northern contractor framework and lead business development strategies in Saskatchewan.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Cameco representative on business development and procurement strategies in the north, working closely with supply chain, site, and technical services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing northern suppliers to support general business planning, growth, and diversification initiatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing the business development component of Cameco's northern strategy and agreement commitments, focusing on northern Saskatchewan.
- Establish and maintain a reporting system to track and monitor all northern suppliers, supporting the preferred northern contractor outcome results.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and stakeholder relations skills, with experience in business development and procurement. A deep understanding of northern communities and Indigenous relations is essential, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
