Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry operations team at The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife Abama. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily pastry operations, ensuring high-quality products, and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Pastry Team: Supervise and manage a team of pastry chefs, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
  • Develop and Implement Pastry Programs: Create and execute pastry menus, specials, and promotions that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain Quality and Safety Standards: Ensure that all pastry products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sanitation, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage Inventory and Budget: Oversee the inventory and budget for the pastry department, ensuring that all resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.
  • Represent the Property: Serve as a representative of The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife Abama in media events, culinary competitions, and other external activities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a culinary or related field, or a 2-year degree in Culinary Arts or a related field with 2 years of experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record of success in a pastry leadership role, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
