Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing our busy kitchen, creating and executing top-notch food with a focus on quality, presentation, and flavor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and high food hygiene standards.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to meet industry trends and guest demands.
  • Lead and motivate a multicultural team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to drive innovation and excellence in our culinary offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality protocols, including HACCP.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience as an Executive Sous Chef or Banquet Chef in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of leading multicultural teams and managing kitchen operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and ability to work with diverse ingredients and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a passion for food and hospitality.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
