About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Merchant Credit Specialist to join our Global Commercial Credit team. As a key member of our collections function, you'll be responsible for managing merchant debit balance collections, insolvencies, and write-off prevention in the EMEA markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact clients with overdue accounts to secure settlement and prevent future overdues
  • Manage the collection of overdue payments and negotiate win-win outcomes
  • Understand customers' financial arrangements and requirements
  • Use strategic decision-making to drive customer loyalty and growth for the business
  • Secure repayment of overdue funds and avoid potential losses/write-offs

Requirements

  • Strong analytical mindset and numeric skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, and communication skills (English and Dutch speaking)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to take a professional approach to challenging situations
