Key Account Director

As a Key Account Director, you will have the opportunity to work with a global supplier and manufacturer of optical networking equipment as well as a reseller of refurbished networking devices (routers & switches). Based in Almere, Flevoland, our client is seeking an experienced professional to establish new relationships and cultivate existing relationships with large and medium-sized prospects in the DACH regions.
**Responsibilities:**
- You will be responsible for communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
- Building relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
- Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment.
- Collecting and analyzing data to learn more about consumer behavior.
- Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.
- Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes.
- Identifying industry trends.
- Acting as a client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in sales, communications, or related field is not mandatory.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a C1/C2 level of German and business fluent English.
- Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent active listening skills.
- Able to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
- Understanding of customer behaviors and industry trends.
- Extensive, accurate product knowledge (which will be taught on the job).
- 4+ years of experience within a similar industry of optical components, and networking equipment.
