About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Tech Business Development Representative to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities in the DACH market (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland). This is a hybrid/onsite role, offering the flexibility to work both remotely within Barcelona and onsite at our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Reach out to potential clients in the DACH region via cold calls, emails, and digital channels, identifying decision-makers, qualifying leads, and generating new business opportunities.
  • Consultative Selling: Use a consultative approach to engage with prospects, uncover their business needs, and align our technology solutions to address those needs, providing initial assessments and insights into how our products can help them achieve their goals.
  • Building Relationships: Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders at potential client companies, engaging with C-level executives and decision-makers, building trust and credibility to ensure long-term business relationships.
  • Market & Competitor Research: Stay informed about the latest trends in the German-speaking market and technology industry, using insights to tailor sales approaches and identify emerging business opportunities, monitoring competitor activity and adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborating with Sales Teams: Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Account Management teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment, supporting the handoff of qualified leads to the sales team and ensuring a smooth transition through the sales cycle.
  • Sales Strategy & Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, sales-qualified opportunities (SQOs), and revenue growth, managing a high volume of outreach activities while maintaining focus on quality interactions and customer satisfaction.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all prospect interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progress using CRM tools, providing regular updates and reports on your sales performance, lead conversion rates, and overall progress towards targets.
  • Client Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Gather feedback from prospects and clients about their experience with the sales process, working closely with the team to continuously improve lead qualification processes and overall customer engagement.
  • Ongoing Learning & Development: Participate in training sessions to deepen your understanding of our technology solutions and sales methodologies, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continually improve your skills.
Requirements:
  • Language Proficiency: Native or near-native German (C2 level) and fluent English (C1/C2 level), both written and spoken, with the ability to engage with German-speaking clients professionally and persuasively.
  • Sales Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation, preferably in the tech or SaaS industry, with experience selling to the DACH market being a plus.
  • Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, confident in initiating conversations, building rapport with clients, and negotiating with decision-makers.
  • Consultative Approach: Strong ability to understand client needs, provide tailored solutions, and communicate complex technology concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Goal-Oriented & Results-Driven: Motivated to meet and exceed sales targets, comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Tech-Savvy & Digital Mindset: Understanding of digital marketing concepts, SaaS, and technology products, familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) being a plus.
  • Time Management & Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, capable of working independently, setting clear goals, and delivering results within deadlines.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-moving, multicultural environment, willing to share insights, learn from others, and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Self-Motivated & Resilient: Proactive, confident, and able to handle rejection positively, tenacious and determined to succeed despite obstacles.
