**Job Overview:**
Remote People seeks a visionary leader to drive commercial growth and strategic operations. As the **Business Development Director**, you will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies, building organisational capacity, and driving revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive business growth
- Built and lead high-performing teams to deliver operational excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Drive revenue growth through sales strategy and execution
- Manage and operate organic growth potential within existing portfolios and new initiatives
- Proven experience in leading businesses/divisions with true accountability across all commercial, financial, operational and technical functions
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years relevant working experience in chemical and/or adjacent sectors with an understanding of capex project development and execution
- A commercially strong leader with an ability to understand technology and differentiation
- Strong connections in relevant industrial segments (chemicals, new energy, power generation, steel and non-ferrous, cement industries)
- Has an understanding and passion for different components of the decarbonization/net zero/circular economy agenda
- Proven experience in developing and implementing commercial strategies
- Dynamically leads by example, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity, and strong drive to achieve results
