At Rategain, we partner with travel companies worldwide to achieve their commercial objectives, serving a broad spectrum of businesses from Online Travel Agents to Travel Management Companies, GDS providers, and Meta Searches. Each client has unique requirements and complex technology needs, making them a vital segment of the hospitality industry. We seek an experienced Director to focus on European markets, further scaling our essential business unit.
This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of European travel companies' operations and technologies used to achieve commercial objectives. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the complexities of the travel technology ecosystem, ensuring they make informed decisions regarding distribution, business intelligence, marketing technologies, and more. As an individual contributor, this self-started and driven professional must be ready to innovate and find new value for our clients while keeping the company's goals and broader vision in mind.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan aligned with commercial priorities for European travel companies and our solution portfolio.
- Establish and maintain relationships with travel companies across Europe, positioning Rategain as a preferred solution provider and partner.
- Lead engagement with travel companies, generate interest in our solutions, drive adoption of our portfolio, and manage sales pipeline and forecast. Meet targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Understand the value of Rategain products and competitive offerings, articulating benefits meaningful to European hotel chains.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new areas of collaboration, provide feedback for solution evolution, and ensure customer satisfaction.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Travel Technology sales to European travel companies, ideally within Pricing Intelligence or Distribution segments, with a proven track record of exceeding goals and driving customer satisfaction.
- In-depth understanding of hotel distribution technology, rate intelligence solutions, and marketing technologies.
- Strong empathy and passion for customers, coupled with a drive for revenue and growth.
- Ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building; analytical and process-oriented mindset.
- Experience negotiating commercial deals and contracts; Salesforce.com CRM experience is highly appreciated.
- Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluency in English, and competency in additional European languages desirable.
$120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
